Kyra + Travis | Big Sur, California Lifestyle

The California coast and two wonderful newlyweds made for a great afternoon.  My fellow photographer friend, Victoria, and I drove down route one towards Big Sur from San Francisco with Travis and Kyra in the backseat.  These friends of mine had gotten married a few weeks prior and I jumped at the chance to gift them a photo session in a gorgeous location.  Believe you me, I love my home on the east coast, but shooting with the sun setting over the ocean was dream.

P.S. Travis and Kyra run a blog about their "mutually flawed pursuit of Jesus."  They are encouraging authenticity with their vulnerability. I have been both comforted and challenged by their words. They're doing great things :) Check out their blog here.

Alyssa + Todd | Lancaster, PA In-Home Photographer

Alyssa and Todd (along with a few more awesome team members) renovate homes in downtown Lancaster, PA under the business name In || Dust Homes.  In Alyssa's words, "the name holds most significance with a verse in Genesis (Genesis 2:7 Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being). God beautifully formed us from the dirt of the Earth. This is our way of glorifying Him- by breathing life back into His creation."
A couple months back, Alyssa approached me with the idea of doing a photoshoot in one of their unfinished homes and I quickly thought, "YAS, LET'S DO THIS."  With snow falling outside, we went to the top floor of one of their properties on North Mary Street, blew up an air mattress, poured some coffee, and had a grand ol' time. As much as I love being out in nature for the majority of my work, this shoot was a wonderfully refreshing change of pace. It was back to the basics: an empty room, coffee, and a cute and totally-in-love couple. More of this, please!

Jalissa + Lewis | Harrisburg, PA Autumn Wedding

After having photographed their engagement session and learning how flippin' fun Jalissa and Lewis are, I knew their wedding was going to a blast. AND IT WAS. Jalissa and Lewis have a good time and love even harder.  Their day was filled with people who so clearly loved and cared for them. Courtney of Sapphire Road Weddings worked tirelessly behind the scenes to see that their big day ran smoothly. (She's a joy to work with and I highly recommend checking her out for your wedding planning and/or coordination).  The day was cold but my heart was warmed by these sweet babes. All my congrats to Jalissa and Lewis!
